Rapaces(Predadores em português) é uma das minhas histórias em quadrinhos prediletas, não só pelo incrível roteiro escrito por Jean Dufaux mas principalmente pelo belíssimo traço de Enrico Marini. Insipirado pelo trabalho de Marini decidi criar estes "turntables", tentei me manter o mais fiél possível ao traço do ilustrador.

Rapaces(Raptors in english) is one of my favorites comic books, not only by it´s amazing script, written by Jean Dufaux but mostly by Enrico Marini´s beautiful art.
Inspired by Marini´s art I decided to create those turntables, I tried to kept the most faithful as I could to the illustrator´s work.

Cyril, Robin e Xavier são meus amigos da banda suíça Mama Rosin, além de grandes sujeitos levam um som foda cheio de energia e alto astral. Tive o prazer de vê-los mês passado aqui no Rio.
A ilustração ainda não está terminada mas estou gostando do resultado e quis postá-lá de presente de natal para a banda.

Cyril, Robin and Xavier are my friends from the swiss band Mama Rosin. Besides beign great guys their music is great, full of energy and very good mood. I had the pleasure of wathcing their gig here in Rio last month.
The illustration isn't finished yet but I'm enjoying the result so far and decided to post as a christmas gift for the band.

Desde que vi esse filme no começo de 2000, já o coloquei no meu top 10. Uma combinação de desespero, esperança, loucura e varios outros sentimentos que afloram durante o filme, além do grande elenco, tem The Clash na trilha sonora e é claro, Martin Scorcese. Uma pena o filme não ter feito tanto sucesso.
Uma pena também vermos o Nicolas Cage hoje fazendo porcarias...
Tinha desenhando antes todos os médicos do filme só de brincadeira e decidi coloca-los num cartaz.
Gostei do resultado, acho que vou imprimi-lo e pendura-lo na minha parede.

From the moment I've watched it in the beggining of 2000, I placed it straight away into my top 10. A mix of despair, hope, madness and many other feelings that blossom during the movie. The cast is great, The Clash in the soundtrack and of course, Martin Scorcese. It's a shame the movie wasn't a success.
It's a shame also to see Nicolas Cage today doing lots of craps...
First I drew the paramedics just for fun e then decided to gather them in a poster.
I like the result, I think I will print it and hang it on my wall.

Eu sempre gostei muito dos filmes Before Sunrise e Before Sunset. São filmes que eu não me canso de ver, cada vez presto mais atenção em algum diálogo específico e crio uma nova interpretação ao filme.
Acho uma historia bonita e dois ótimos personagens com diálogos que variam das mais banais coisas da vida até as mais complexas.
Ilustrei aqui uma cena do Before Sunset, no reencontro "acidental" de Jesse e Celine.

I always liked very much the movies Before Sunrise e Before Sunset. I never get tired of watching it, each time I focus on some specific dialogue and try to create a new meaning to the movie.
I found it a beautiful story and both characters dialogues that go to the simplest things in life until complex subjects are great.
I have illustrated here one scene from Before Sunset, in Jesse and Celine's "accidental" meeting.

Um outro esporto que eu adoro, Rugby. Além de gostar do esporte me divirto desenhando os jogadores, sempre com as caractísticas físicas bem exageradas. Nesse desenho do Jerry Collins eu optei por um traço e uma pintura mais ao estilo "cartoon", diferente das ilustrações postadas anteriormente.

O projeto que mais gostei de fazer. Não se trata de um time forte e de craques do futebol, mas os jogadores suíços são bem diversificados entre si, vários tipos de rostos e expressões faciais.
A revista apresenta 40 jogadores suíços selecionáveis para a Euro 2008.

The project I most enjoyed doing. It's not a strong team with stars but the swiss players are very diversified, many kinds of faces and expressions.
The magazine shows 40 swiss players that can be selected for the Euro 2008.

Um projeto que adorei fazer, apesar de saber muito pouco sobre o esporte. Sempre adorei albuns de figurinhas e foi uma oportunidade de conhecer mais sobre Hockey no gelo. O editor me pediu que eu desenhasse os craques que jogam ou ja jogaram aqui na Suiça. Eu gostei do resultado.

Iloved doing this project, although I knew little about the sport. I always liked stickers albums and it was a great opportunity to know more about Ice Hockey.
The editor asked me to draw the stars that play or have played in Switzerland. I liked the result.
